In 2004, a military helicopter was shot down by a UFO over Sicily. The incident made headlines on the internet and sparked intense speculation about what really happened. Now, a video snippet of the docudrama “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” is circulating the internet, reigniting interest in this bizarre event.
With an unexplained fire accident in Sicily in 2004, all hell broke loose. According to the conspiracy theory website Reincarnation Research, the Italian Navy sent a helicopter to assess the situation. The crew of the helicopter reported seeing a saucer-shaped craft behind them, that emitted an energy beam that damaged the rotor mechanism of the helicopter.
Though the damage did not cause the copter to crash, damage to the rotor system was photographed. The UFO craft involved in this incident was manned, claims the website.
The energy beams that caused fires in the town were not intentional. Rather, they were having technical difficulties with the propulsion systems of their craft, which resulted in the energy beams that caused fires in the Sicilian town.
When the Italian military sent a helicopter to investigate the fires and a saucer-shaped craft shot an energy beam that damaged the helicopter rotor apparatus, this was an intentional act, not to destroy the helicopter, but to leave evidence of the extraterrestrial existence.
The occurrences have been explained in a variety of ways, from the simple to the supernatural. The wildfires were believed to be caused by poltergeists, demons, or UFOs by the general public. Eventually, it wasn’t all that mysterious in the end. Giuseppe Pezzin, 26, was eventually arrested by police in 2014 as the mastermind of the wildfires in Sicily.
Lt. Col. Clarbruno Vedruccio
The Italian Navy’s Special Forces’ Lt. Col. Clarbruno Vedruccio relates a story that is remarkably identical to Reincarnation Research’s in ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation S01 EP6’.
A series of spontaneous fires erupted in Sicily in 2004. Several hundred meters behind the copter’s tail, a UFO arrived. It fired a beam at the helicopter wings. The pilots were forced to make an emergency landing.
A photograph is displayed by Vedruccio. The claimed UFO on the left, and the helicopter in question soon before the strike on the right, can both be seen in witness pictures.
Not the first time
Captain Achille Zaghetti and his co-pilot were flying from Milan to Heathrow when they noticed a weird khaki-colored missile speeding across the sky above the Kent countryside. The 10-foot-long UFO approached so close to the airliner that Captain Zaghetti yelled out to his co-pilot, “Look out! Look out!”
“It was shaped like a cigar and passed very close, about 300 meters on the right, or 1,000ft,” recalling the incident above Lydd, Kent, in 1991, Capt Zaghetti told Italian journalists.
“It was military beige in color. My co-pilot and I estimated that it was about three meters long. It was in the evening – around 8 or 9pm – when it is still light at altitude but dark on the ground,” said Capt Zaghetti, who lives in Grosseto, Tuscany.
“Do you see something behind me?” Capt Zaghetti asked the control tower. Heathrow officials confirmed there was an object near the airliner 20 to 30 seconds later.
“It could have caused a terrible accident. If you’re flying at 700 kilometers an hour, hitting an object of 1kg is like hitting something which weighs 700kg.” The UFO was seen on radar by air traffic controllers at Heathrow, who were guiding a British Airways flight into the land.
The incident was detailed in documents published by the National Archive. Officials from the Ministry of Defence ruled out the idea that the object was a British or American missile and said there was no rational explanation for the observation.
The first season of “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” starring Luis Elizondo is very impressive. Unfortunately, you see certain figures who have been guilty of UFO hoaxes such as Tom DeLonge who discredits the reliability of the investigation, the UFO case, and the docudrama.
However, the disappointing thing about all docudramas is that they lean more towards sensational stories accompanied by entertaining video editing and exciting background music. The story explained in Reincarnation Research is like a story unsupported by evidence. The photo depicting the UFO can literally be anything, like a bird.
