Is The Mysterious Spacecraft X-37B Spying On Us?

Spacecraft X-37B

The unmanned spacecraft X-37B orbits every 500 days around the earth, but nobody knows what it is doing there. The vessel was sent into space by the US Army on May 20, 2015 in order to carry out a secret mission.

It is not known what X-37B does in space and how long the apparatus there still remains. It is about the fourth spacecraft which was sent into space in the context of a top-secret project.

The missions take longer. The first aircraft was launched in 2010 and stayed 224 days in space. In 2011 there was a new mission, which lasted 468 days, according to The third mission lasted the longest 675 days.

The spacecraft, built by Boeing, similar to the space shuttle of NASA, but is much smaller. X-37B is only nine meters long and 4.6 meters wide. In the course of its choice, it is not uncommon it fly over countries like Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Korea. Would it be spying?

Enemy Satellites

On the internet people are speculating about the mission of the craft. Dave Webb, President of the Global Network against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space wrote that X-37B is part of efforts by the Pentagon to strike anywhere in the world in less than an hour.

Others say the spacecraft is used to disable enemy satellites or to test experimental propulsion systems. Still others argue that X-37B monitors the Chinese space station.
